Method Travel helps you plan smart, stay safe, and save money, even if it's your first time traveling or you're on a tight budget. We believe travel should be possible for everyone. So before we offer any packages or services, here's what you need to know.
Tip: Traveling midweek and booking 1-2 months early saves money. Avoid holidays unless you plan early.
Before choosing a destination, take a moment to imagine the kind of experience you want. Is it waking up to ocean views, exploring vibrant city streets, or escaping into nature’s peace? Your budget should reflect the feeling you’re chasing, not just the cost. It’s not about where you can go, but how you want to feel when you get there.
Pro Tip: The “best time” isn’t just about weather, t’s about what you want to feel, see, and experience.
Spring (March–May)
Best for: Nature lovers, festivals, mild weather. Spring is the season of renewal. Flowers bloom, crowds are smaller, and the weather is perfect for outdoor adventures. Think cherry blossoms in Japan, tulip fields in the Netherlands, or a peaceful escape to the mountains.
Summer (June–August)
Best for: Beach vacations, family trips, long getaways. School’s out and sunshine is in full swing. Summer is great for coastal destinations, tropical islands, and road trips. Just plan ahead prices and crowds rise fast.
Fall (September–November)
Best for: Budget travelers, culture, and stunning scenery. Autumn brings golden leaves, cool air, and better deals. It’s ideal for wine tours, scenic train rides, and exploring cities like Paris or New York without the summer rush.
Winter (December–February)
Best for: Holiday magic, snow adventures, warm getaways. Whether you're chasing snowflakes in the Alps or sunshine in the Caribbean, winter travel has two sides. It’s perfect for skiing, hot chocolate, or escaping to a warm beach for the holidays.
It depends on where you're going and how far:
For domestic travel (U.S.)
You don’t need a passport to fly within the United States.
All you need is a valid form of government-issued ID, like a driver's license or state ID. (Note: Starting May 2025, you’ll need a REAL ID to fly domestically.)
For International Travel
If you’re heading outside the U.S., you definitely need a passport.
But depending on your destination, you may also need a visa a special entry permit.
Some countries allow U.S. travelers in visa-free (just passport):
Others require a visa in advance:
Always check your destination’s entry rules before you book. Visa policies change often.
